We’re not historians. Or monks. Or your strict kaka telling you to touch feet. We’re just two history nerds who found ourselves asking—

Why is our generation drifting so far from where we came from?

Scroll on Instagram, and you’ll find all the drip: oversized tees, clean sneakers, but rarely stories that shaped us. The stories of gods who rode Garuda, of warriors who fought for dharma, of art forms that told entire epics on palm leaves.

We looked around and thought, “Why not blend these timeless stories with streetwear we actually want to wear?”
Not the boring, dusty, textbook kind. The “yo, that’s sick” kind. The “where did you get that tee?” kind. 

That’s how Vastralay101 was born.
